National recommendations and awards achieved by 15 students
Congratulations to the 15 who have been recommended for National Awards for their practical exams late last year.
They impressed the examiner with their work and in addition to their grade certificates of merit they were recommended for national awards.
The Guild of Music and Speech review all performances throughout Australia and choose a small number for national recognition.
What a fantastic result for their hard work and dedication.

National Award Results received.
The Guild of Music and Speech have now informed me that 11 students have been awarded National Achievement Certificates, with some also receiving Encouragement Cheques. These students have been invited to receive their awards at the A.G.M.S. Award and Graduation ceremony on Saturday 28th April in Melbourne. Six of these Guitarists along with family and friends are making the trip to Melbourne for the award ceremony where I will be performing a Guitar duet with Andrew Williams.

This is a fantastic result and I congratulate everyone who undertook exams in 2011. It shows what can be achieved on a national level by enthusiastic guitarists at Glenelg Guitar Studio.

Thankyou Steve for your comments, and congratulations again on your exam result. On a personal note I’d like to thankyou (and all the others) who have forwarded best wishes on the recent passing of my brother. I am very touched.
