THE REHEARSAL ROOM TO THE LIVE STAGE

Another year is drawing to a close and younger students will soon be taking a well earned break from their studies and many will be reflecting on the year that was. Hopefully they all achieved a degree of success with the guitar and I hope they all had some FUN.

One of my young students, William Healey, has a special reason to be proud of his achievements this year.

That's William the quiet achiever

That’s William the quiet achiever….and of course me

William, a student at Immanuel Primary School, got the experience of a life time when he got to join “Experience Floyd”on stage at the Thebby Theatre, playing the classic Pink Floyd song “Wish you were here”. You need to check out the video below to see Williams performance followed by the Immanuel choir clip of Pink Floyd “Another brick in the wall” . We didn’t have all the song on film but you can certainly appreciate William’s performance.

Thanks to Daniel (“Experience Floyd” Guitarist) for his great encouragement; to William’s parents who provide support to his guitar learning and to Immanuel Primary School music staff Peter Habib and Cathy Traviglione for preparing the choir for “Another Brick in the Wall”.

In case you were wondering; Yes, William does do Guitar Exams and has had 94%, 97% and 93% in the last three. I told you doing exams can really accelerate your learning !

Cheers
Leigh
